I love the interface, especially the way your character kind of fades in and out to handle jumping between locations so you don't have to watch them walk everywhere. I also like the use of pop-ups to handle digging into the details of a scene. I thought they did an excellent job of adapting the interface for the iPad.

Just finished Enigmatis The Ghosts of Maple Creek CE. I really really enjoyed it. I bought it a while ago but only just played now.
The graphics were great - I've never seen such clear and crisp HoGs. Intriguing storyline but some might find it a bit disturbing. The music was good and even the voice work was more than decent. Gameplay is long. Definitely worth the price. I didn't realize the same developer (Artifex Mundi) did Time Mysteries Inheritance and Joan Jade both of which I enjoyed. Hope to see more from them on iPad. |

I've only played through the beginning, just started playing as John Yesterday (you'll know what I mean once you start playing) and so far, I'd say definitely. I hope it's a long game, bc I really don't want it to end. At the same time, there's so much mystery and questions that keep you wanting to play just a little longer so you could find the answers. It does have a sense of humor, too, in case you thought it's all dark and disturbing. And itt kept me from going to bed early last night when I was utterly exhausted! So right now I'd definitely recommend it.

The Act is on sale for 99 cents. Worth buying? Or too short?

Depends on what you want out of it. You will be disappointed when you reach the end, because you will want more. I would also not advise looking at your watch both before and after you play, otherwise you will really be sad. However, it is an experience unlike anything else on the app store, so from that point of view I'd say it's worth 99 cents. If you've ever seen the movie The Artist, it kind of has that feel, though it never really gets as depressing as the Artist did in some spots.
