I just picked up iCade Mobile and am having very mixed results with iMAME4all. Oddly, I cannot press a direction and a fire button at the same time, it doesn't register at all. However, I can press left and a fire button and it works as intended. Very strange, particularly because the iCade Mobile works PERFECT in Robert's NES, SNES, PCE emulators.

I thought it was a hardware issue at first, until giving the other iCade compatible emus a go and unfortunately it seems to be a software issue.

Does Seluco update this version of Mame anymore? I can't run reloaded, its pretty slow on my i4

I had the same issue with iMAME on the classic iCade. I remember thinking there was something wrong with the hardware or emulator. The problem went away pretty quickly, but I am not sure why.

Have you selected iCade under 'Options' -> 'Control Layout'?

Yes, I have icade selected. Only button 7 will work while pressing a direction other than left. This essentially limits what I can play to only using 1 button.

It's so weird, iFBA doesn't have this problem at all

Some how I messed up my dip switch or general game settings. The joystick now controls the screen brightness and other video features. Is there a way to reset it?

EDIT: Nevermind, I just randomly started smashing buttons in the dip switch menu and it somehow fixed itself.

There's gotta be an easy way to remap these controls. I just got my iControlpad. Everything works perfect with iFBA. I'm in ICP mode. The Start and Select button are A and X on my iControlpad! I tried remapping these controls with no luck. It appears I can remap everything but the start and select (coin 1) button.

How can I make X into button 1, and the start and select buttons on iMame the start and select buttons on my controller? When I went and changed it in the inputs the X button became both the select and the fire button so at the same time I would fire it would insert a coin and if I hit up and fire it would insert a coin into player 2 and completely screw up the game!

I have run several versions of iMame4all now. I even donated a couple dollars just because its THAT awesome.

Now I have jailbreaked my iPad once again (after it was "clean" for a while), installed iMame4all and everything works good BUT:

A.) in normal mode (buttons on screen) the red X-button makes problems in combination with joystick-down. The in-game menu pops-up. that's a huge gamebreaker while playing a game.

B.) on iCade its the same with the combination: bottom row white button and joystick-up. In-game menu pops-up. I have english keyboard settings. Can I change somewhere else than there? I saw in the in-game menu that I can change several settings and button mappings. But they seem to be more for a keyboard as there are F10 and so on keys mapped.

Whats wrong? Where can I change that the damn in-game menu don't pop up anymore? Any help or suggestion is very much appreciated!

I solved the problem, thanks to Seleuco!
It's the damn config file in the cfg folder.
I removed it and everything is ok!
Damn config files, always causing trouble ...

I just bought an ipad3 and after installing all my apps in it, found out I lost all my imame games from my ipod 4th gen. device! I had like 150 in there! Any way of getting them back other than starting all over and getting them back one at a time? That's gonna take FOREVER! Any help would be appreciated. Feel free to PM me! Thanks!!!
