iOS Apps ‘RETRO GAMES’ & ‘RETRO GAMES FREE’ Featuring ‘SUMMER GAMES’ Re-released for SUMMER GAMES

Elite Systems, the long established UK based developer and electronic publisher of games for portable, mobile and other devices has confirmed the Apps (full title, “World of RETRO Computer GAMES”) have been scheduled for re-release during the weekend of 20th July, 2012.

Commenting upon the launch plans, Elite’s MD Steve Wilcox said,

“The Apps provide the opportunity to build a collection, of the most popular RETRO computer GAMES from the 80s and 90s, in two great ways

1. Download ‘Retro Games’ to receive SUMMER GAMES and to get 9 more classic 8-bit home computer games for NO ADDITIONAL FEE! (Including, Jon Freeman’s masterly strategy game, ARCHON).
Then, collect up to 100 classic 8-bit home computer games as they’re added to the In-App Shop each month.

2. Alternatively, download ‘Retro Games Free’ to receive SUMMER GAMES for FREE and to get 9 more classic 8-bit home computer games for a MODEST ADDITIONAL FEE – £0.69/Euro0.79/US$0.99. (Including, Jon Freeman’s masterly strategy game, ARCHON).
Then, collect up to 100 classic 8-bit home computer games as they’re added to the In-App Shop each month.

Commenting upon the launch plans, Elite’s MD Steve Wilcox said,

“The Worldwide re-launch of the Apps will take place just before this Summer’s Games and from the outset they will feature some truly-classic, 80s, Anglo-American, 8-bit home computer games in their near-100% original form. With the first and each subsequent monthly update of the Apps, more games will be added to the ‘In-App Shop’, offering a total of one hundred retro games to collect.”

NOTE FOR EDITORS: ‘RETRO GAMES / HD’ iOS Apps were released weekend of 6th April, 2012. Elite removed the apps from the App Store on18th May, 2012 because of conflicting claims regarding the ownership of the then included game “Tales Of The Unknown”. Ahead of the re-release of the ‘RETRO GAMES / HD’ iOS Apps, “Tales Of The Unknown” has been removed and "Summer Games" has been added. At the time of writing, the conflicting claims regarding the ownership “Tales Of The Unknown” remain unresolved.
