Crafting times are way too long and tedium soon sets in. Since there's only one workshop, It shouldn't take 20 hours to wait for something so soon in the game - skate board for Billie (2x glue = 6 hours, blue dye = 2 hours, skateboard = 12 hours). I'm beginning to lose interest, even though I've purchased a bit of IAP.

I'm now level 18. I just went to my lv 31 friends street to compare buildings, I counted all the buildings, and I have all the buildings he has, (minus a few houses that I cannot place yet because I have hit my house limit, but have already unlocked)
So it seems from this point on, there's no new buildings to place, it's all about upgrading your previous buildings and saving money.

It's good in a way because extending the land now costs 30 flooz, and it's going to be pretty damn tedious grinding for 30 flooz.
But without new houses and buisness' to unlock, it's going to get boring fast. I guess you could just grind for weeks to collect enough flooz to buy a collectable piece of furniture, but it's not mich gameplay.
An occasional spin of the wheel is the only thing that you'd need to do, the other mini games are now ignored because they don't give out flooz.

I have only spent $6 on the game so far and was SO close to buying the $20 pack of flooz so i could buy all 3 of the special houses, I actually added some high level people so I could see what the houses looked like and decide for sure which One i wanted, then I figured I'd get them all, then I was like hang on? Where's all the buildings? I have all these buildings. So then I reconsidered. That's like buying a hooker a diamond necklace in a way.

I'm willing to invest in long term games, dragonvale for example, (must be close to $100 ive spent on DV) . But I'm much more cautious with two week flings, I was really hoping this would be more than just a fling, it's one of the best freemiums I've played on iOS, even more addictive then DV, but DV has the power to hold fans attentions long term, and that's a difficult thing to do.

I hope this continues to get updated to compete with the big players in the business, and I hope it happens quickly before the next freemium craze comes along for another fling.
I've been playing only 4-5 days and I've already unlocked all the buildings, that's crazy, doesn't seem balanced at all. They should have paced it out. At the beginning I was overwhelmed by all the new buildings and felt like I was falling behind because I had no room to build them, and now , 5 days into the game, there's nothing left to unlock, the pepin quests are already repeating themselves, and I hardly get another quest from Billy or the others.

I truly adore this game, but seriously guys 5 days of gameplay? No wonder why it was good, they spend over a year developing a game that only lasts a short peroid of time, so you get bombarded with awesome stuff at the start..and then it dwindles down, then balls of hay fly past with nothing left to do.

Even after I upgrade my buildings it probably won't be too much longer, my buildings are all atleast lv 2, and some lv 3, id be surprised if I got 2 weeks of gameplay out of this.

And worst of all, just about an hour ago this huge invasive ads started popping up everywhere, the sort of dodgey ads that pop up on dodgey websites where it covers the entire screen and you akmst always end up accidentally clicking it. After spending money on this game, I think it's extremely unfair to also be used as revenue raising, especially in the way they're doing it with the huge ads.
The game is almost unplayable now.

I certainly won't be spending another cent on this game.

this game is lame, well it's a perfect game, graphics are nice, gameplay is awesome, but the lame popping ad is not fair for us who paid money for getting flooz!

the game can detect for someone who have paid real money for the flooz shouldn't get the annoying pop up advertisement!

sometimes good developer is so greedy with money that they destroy a good game with a lame decision!

I'm a little upset by the in app ads that are now popping up for me. They happen one after another and I keep accidently clicking them which takes me to the app store based on which game the ad was for. I've already spent money on tokens and Floorz. Please remove those in app ads! They completely ruin the game experience.

@Tannorexic I've been at this wall of no new content for the longest time ever as I've been playing since the Canadian beta. Just keep in mind that it's a two man team working on this game, and it seems like for the past month or so they've just been concentrating on fixing bugs and tweaking the gameplay so it's fair. They are extremely active on this board and a lot of bugs and ideas have been either addressed or noted by them, which is a lot more than you can say about other companies.

I'm sure a content update is coming very soon as it seems most bugs are fixed and the gameplay is close to perfect. Just wait a little before you make any harsh judgements!

These new ads are REALLY annoying. Seriously pissing me off. They might only be 2 people, but it doesn't take more than 1 to realize that you don't want to be driving your customers away.

How often are they occurring? I seem to only be getting it during start up, which is annoying but not nearly as annoying as some of you guys are saying.

I agree with what youre saying, I was careful not to be too harsh, I bit my tongue a little because this morning was when I realized I had unlocked all buildings after only 5-6 days of playing, which was cool. I was still planning to play and continue to buy flooz, but after those popups started coming up every few minutes I guess my post steered into a direction of slightly harsher, but I stand by that. It's completely immoral, it can be easily implemeted to only have ads for the people who haven't paid, that would be fair. But if I bought some other game off the AppStore for $6 I sure as hell wouldn't want to see it plastered with ads.
I was fine about the small amount of content, but the ads were the straw that broke the camels back. I am really displeased about it, especially after respecting and supporting godzillab for years.
I just hope this isn't one of those times where a respected moral dev turns over to the dark side with a freemium game, gets greedy, turns into zynga, then gets hated by the masses.

Dragonvale is pretty much the highest grossing freemium on iOS, and they don't have ads. Ads aren't really accepted with freemiums, freemiums are supposed to make their money through IAP. ads are supposed to be full games, like tiki towers, for example, you can either pay 99c for the full version of tiki towers, or play the full version for free with ads.
And it's usually dodgey apps that use ads like that, I was really quite shocked to see that coming from the company that was so respected from it's moki series. It's so easy to tarnish a brands reputation. I hope they be cautious.

You can just switch off wifi on your ipad/iPhone settings to avoid the ads. But then they will reduce their chances of IAP and social postings so they're really just screwing themselves in the end.

Ps- the game play doesn't seem perfect to me, I think it's very unbalanced. They should be pacing out the amount of buildings you unlock so early on, but I'm guessing they do that so people get tempted to buy flooz so they can extend their land to build all these new overwhelming buildings on.

I don't typically complain, however here is my 2 cents. I was and still am enjoying this game very much, however... I am a little put off now that there are GIANT adds that pop up every time I open the game. Not to mention the giant adds slow down the game play initially and take a couple seconds to close (possibly because im playing on a 3GS).

I would much rather pay for a game with small in app purchases (such as the floos) that is add free, than play a free game with in app purchases with giant adds. I'm a little disappointed that this game is turning out like the other freemium games I end up deleting.
