It most likely will appear at the launch of the newest iPhone.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't that always been the case?

I doubt that was always the case since I believe it's supposed to be an iPad exclusive.

I think it is planned as a universal release

Interesting bit of news: Epic has formed a new studio to oversee the work on Infinity Blade: Dungeons, and staffed it with ex-developers from Big Head Games (of Kingdoms of Amalur fame). More here.

I wonder if the scope of Infinity Blade: Dungeons has expanded -- it might explain the development time and the new hires. Unfortunately it might mean that we won't be seeing the game till late this year (or even early 2013). Hopefully we'll have more news from Epic soon.

With this... they've definitely got something huge in store. However, given that they just now assigned the team to work on dungeons, there's definitely going to be a longer wait for its release. Hopefully by late fall?

You guys should look how long Diablo III took and then be happy when this releases in 2013. This is obviously gonna be huge, so they wont ruin it by rushing it out the door.
