Dang, didn't know this! Makes the game a lot funner! Kind of got sick of that nagging female voice telling me I needed keys, and then feeling that I had to use inapps to buy more keys.

This might make the game a lot funner for me. Thanks!

I guess I'm just curious how this game seemed to review well..but the comments here and on the app store is so different. I'm getting the feeling the reviewers who may have played and loved the original on the Amiga loves the iOS version.. But for everyone else, this is a decent game.

Wow are right, a lot of the professional reviewers gave the game high marks, some 5/5 or 4.5/5. You are right too that the user reviews are mixed as well as the remarks from posters here, which reflect a far lower score.

Dang, the pc version looks really cool, with 3d graphics. Our game is just a 2d top down scroller. I really had not played this game before, but if I were expecting a pc port, I would be disappointed.

But looking at the amiga version, I see that we got a port of that game. The amiga version looks very close to our game, now that I see the pc version, it makes me a little disappointed about our game. Which may not be fair I guess.

Anyway, if I rated the game, I would give it 3.5/5 stars or so. It's decent, and if you are a dual stick maze fan, or a fan of the Alien Breed series, it would be recommended. For buyers at $5, I can understand the frustration both from the high expectations of this game and the rapid price drop.

For me, I got the game for a buck, so reasonably happy with it. Kind of dislike the constant nagging for keys and ammo, but other than that, it's an ok game. I can see myself playing the game in the future, and it will stay on my ipad.

I kind of wonder if they are going to raise this game back up to $5, or perhaps they will make this game freemium, and make it harder to get keys and ammo, so you will have to buy inapps for them.

I dunno, anyway, for 99 cents, it's fun for me, but I can understand why so many people are disappointed.

Personally loving it, seems pretty easy but wonder if that's just the revamped version. Tried the original and it had less drops plus the harder controls

Anyone having trouble with achievements not going to gamecentre. Got 20something and only 6 on gamecentre

Just bought it an hour ago. Got the same problem over here. Got about 9 or 10 but only shows 2 in game center.

Lovin' the game so far. Was hesitant on purchasing at first, but finally decided to buy it. Good thing I got this at $.99!

Hi,

I just received my iCade and I'm not able to make it work with Alien Breed. The character just does not move or do anything when I press the button. And there are no options to activate the iCade anywhere.

My iCade works well in other games though.

Any ideas?

Same situation here. Just got an iCade and can't figure out how to get Alien Breed to work with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wrote to Team 17 and they got back to me right away with this reply:

"There's unfortunately currently an issue with the iCade support and we're
working on a patch.

We'll get back to you to let you know as soon as it's released.

Hope this helps and sorry for any inconvenience caused.
