Default The War of Knights - Rip Off

Just a warning to anyone who saw this on appshopper and wanted to get it.

It is a blatant rip off of the very excellent The War of Eustrath.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-war-of-eustrath/id381058279?mt=8
It takes place in a world known as 'Bustrath' >.>. The assets are taken whole ..even the app description and file sizes are the same.

Well i hope people report this app, problem is lots of people seem to think 'rip off' but dont tell Apple when something like this slips through.

Well, apparently all they did was a Find/Replace on "Eustrath" (with "Bustrath"). They certainly aren't putting much effort into ripping off the entire game. A few gullible people before it's taken down is all it takes for the "developer" to turn a profit.

Rip off? That sounds so mild. If I understood correctly they are selling the exact same app trying to profit from it. I call that stealing.

I will take note of the developers name and remember not to buy anything from them ever.

Btw, that find/replace thing isn't what happened there because in the description I found one correctly typed 'Eustrath' so they must have done that by hand instead of something as simple as find/replace.

I really despise these people, really! War of Eustrath was a brilliant game and if it had new campaigns I would still come back to it.

Is there any proof that this is a rip-off?
Did you check if the lucense for the game was sold?
Or is it all based on assumptions and jumping the gun?
The only stange thing: WoE is still available in the AppStore.

The only strange thing? Maybe it is the only really telling thing but there are so many flags up that it is more than a mere assumption. Gave iQubi a prod a twitter.. will have to wait to see their response for a proper confirmation.

Check out Screenshot 4 of this one... Then tell me those arent Screenshots 3 and 4 of War of Eustrath.

Also, if you search for War of Eustrath, War of Eustrath and War of Copying Eustrath are the two that come up. So maybe they havent even changed the keywords for the appstore listing (assuming there are keywords for appstore listings.).
