Don't know why the update screen says to you must update if you want to play online, but then doesn't give you a choice if you just want to play offline.
Prolly because 'net enabled allows your device to see the update, hence disallowing you to play.. Stupid GL restriction, but you know the workaround, so it's all dandy I guess. Or almost, I should say.

Let us know! Especially about the optimization/speed/steering and how the graphics look like. Wonder if they fixed anything or they didn't...

any tips on how to finish this with 20 seconds remaining? it's starting to get really irritating...

thanks
Oh, that one. I can assure you - it is possible to gain 3 stars using the slowest, non-upgraded, and non-sponsored car. Just takes a bit of combination of knowledge of the track, skill and luck. And probably not the slowest of devies, since that already sets you back.
The pretty much easiest answer: buy a fastest car, load it with all possible upgrades (tho you don't necessarily need to gain 3 stars ; it's optional) and, if you REALLY want to ease things up, buy a sponsor that freezes time when nitroing in adrenaline. Easy as pie...

On the update note: The cars added are pretty much useless in real racing, pretty much how Audi RS3 was in A6, but since Hyundai is a Korean company (also, Samsung does produce cars too, just not under their brand, we've seen it personally : ), I smell a contest/competition just like last year, when one could win a real car. This time prolly Hyundai, not Audi. But we'll see about that, now won't we.
As for the controls moving: finally! The only thing left associated to them left to do is allowing the resize of them. Prolly won't be possible, but well, maybe.. who knows.
I haven't bumped onto any bugfixes, but if anybody did - let us know. But I don't play much nowadays.

The reason?
WCG have made a really sad decision about not including racing games this year (as well as fighting games), including mobile titles. Last year we've flown to South Korea, had a great time and battled with the best from the globe, this time we have got no chance even in theory to fly to China. This is seriously sad... well, I'll hold the remainder of the comments to myself. Also, it's a small chance anything will change next year, because it'll still be Kunshan.

That's it for my little big adventure.

Anyone else having trouble with this on iphone 5? Some of the touch targets ( pause, camera etc ) don't line up with the equivalent graphic. Its as if they moved everything to fit the new screen resolution but not the touch targets.

If that's the case (as in the last post), then surely GameLoft has f'd something up.

On the other hand, one can move the controls from the 1.0.1 onwards, so... that shouldn't be a problem, right? Try using that for starters..

From what I've seen loading times and fluidity on the five-on are good. Just like on S3, not mentioning LG Optimus G ; )

I was trying to play cross-platform the other day with a friend. Pretty annoying how I couldn't play on 4G while he couldn't play on bluetooth. There were no wifi spots available either.

I noticed on Asphalt 6 I couldn't play on LTE either which seems like a bit of an odd limitation.

Cross-platform in general worked much better in A6 from my experience.
In A7, iP4 and SGS2 don't even see each other's servers - pity.

As for hotspots, you can always use personal hotspot, provided you have an additional device, that is. Bluetooth only on iOS is just a marketing limitation, as it's much more limited because of this system. The joke: "You know what? iPhone has a BlueTooth 4.0!" is still valid.

AirPlay with iPhone 5 doesn't work either, only shows the top HUD on the tv and map on the phone.

Just got this game yesterday and it rocks. Awesome racing game. I also have real racing 2 which has a more realistic approach to racing. Asphalt 7 is just a lot of fun.

Guys, any advice for a newbie. Do I just stick to tier 1 racing until I have enough money and gold to buy a good car? Any advice is appreciated.

Stick to tier 1 for now
I think you have to anyway but can't remember right
But either way, just play through the campaign in a linear way.
You will earn plenty of money and stars to upgrade without any problem. Not even sure why iap is in this at all because you'll never use it.
The first few tiers are very easy as well but the difficulty does ramp up later on.
