Hmmm... interesting perspective on not wanting to use the wingmen. I'm curious as to why you don't like them. I find that if I don't have them equipped I get my ass kicked.

The only wingmen I have equipped are the F4U, since, yet again, they shoot straight/no spread shots I am grinding my way up to buying the XFV-1 since I love homing weapons.

Yeah, I am SUPER particular about my weapons. I love power shots and those that shoot straight, homing shots/missiles, etc. I can tolerate certain types of spread shots if they are done well, but that is a case by case basis. The 'W' spread shot is exactly the type of spread shot I despise, so I avoid it like the plague. I also hate weapons that shoot directly behind my ship.

But anywho, I think we've made a case for the developer to consider making it an option so only certain types of power-ups drop.

The wingmen make the planes overpowered imo.

New update on this if anyone is interested, with survival mode added.

Love having survival mode with this game. However, two complaints:

1) There is no way to continue. You die, you start all over. Some people may not care about this, but it can be very frustrating getting far into survival mode and then having to start over. It makes it so you don't want to begin all over.
2) If you pause the game while playing within survival mode, exit the app and then return to it, your game is lost.

That's the whole point of survival mode. You only have one chance to get as far as possible.

I realize that, but for some reason I feel an 'annoyance' factor starting all over with this particular survival mode. For example, even though Phoenix HD is an entire survival mode, I don't feel annoyed getting killed then starting all over. Honestly, I can't really explain why, except for maybe I don't feel as though there is as much 'help' to get further in this survival mode, whereas in Phoenix HD you are constantly being supplied with alpha strikes and shields.

I just wish you could apply continues in this case to prolong the longevity of each run through.

Sorry for the double post. This request is straight to Epicforce...

Can you PLEASE give us the option of disabling the adds via IAP? Ugh, adds... Such ugliness for a pretty game.
