Or a derp mode where the zombies throw flowers at you or something.

Well, it'd be sporting of them because at least we'd die less.
Just wouldn't be very challenging.

I wasn't being sarcastic at any time, just to be safe. I do actually think your assessment is very correct in relation to a challenging type of game. And I understand what you're saying about challenging being a relative thing to the type of game you're used to.
What I was attempting to say, without being specific about any game, is that even seasoned zombie shooter/survival game players (if there is such a thing) will welcome something that will be a challenge. Both types of players, those who don't play this format a lot and those that do, will not have an easy time.
Which is a very refreshing change.

I didn't figure you were being sarcastic, which is why I just singled out your last statement with my comment. I won't say I'm the biggest zombie fan in the world, but I partake in a lot of zombie themed media and there's no question that the most interesting offerings are the ones where it seems like the good guys don't stand a chance. After I got hooked on the TV version of The Walking Dead I started reading the comic book, and I couldn't believe how many people got killed in that series. Sure makes for some interesting reading, though. So yeah, I think they've done a great job of setting a tone of utmost despair, which is what a situation like this should be like.

Remember, you're talking about a game that is in beta... version 1. We haven't even rolled out a single balance change yet By release, we intend to have the game enjoyable for anyone who likes this kind of game. Hard will stay hard though, don't worry. Those who crave that challenge will definitely find it

Also remember this isn't meant to be an arcade stye game... we want people to experiment with different equipment, and THINK about what they're doing. I do think it'll take some adjustment for people who are used to just grabbing whatever gun they see and mindlessly blowing everything away. There are moments of that in NYZ2, but its not really what the game is about.

For example on missions with allies you can keep them alive easier with the med kit (which heals your allies in co-op as well). If you're having trouble with hordes of crows, equip the uzi and blow them away (the perfect weapon for groups of weaker enemies). On defensive missions, try the Bear Traps and Proximity Mines to protect you and your allies. In a tight spot with not a lot of open space (like the apartment or hospital), equip an axe and riot shield, and go to work.

This is exactly what I was trying to say without using specifics on the game.
A hugely positive thing is that it requires you to think and plan rather than just run and gun mindlessly around the place.
Not to be confused with too difficult, just requires a bit of thought and rewards that.

I'm a huge fan of the zombie genre, and I can honestly say that this game is the best survival zombie game on iOS. It is that good. People are going to love this game. I've been waiting for a game like this on iOS for a while.

Players have to remember that this is not easy and that is what NY zombies is all about. The odds are stacked against you and you have to try and find a way to survive and protect the survivors by using strategy, items.

They took nyz and made it better in every sense of the word. It doesn't really feel like I'm playing a beta that's how good it is

We'll be unveiling price and release date a bit in the future.
