Because of its close affiliation to counter strike (it is a clone, and an impressive one, great fun on kongregate with the unity web player) I would not be surprised if serious copyright issues/ worries got in the way of a licensed iOS version.
I know it was built up from scratch, and that it's like saying all minecraft clones should be pulled, BUT... All minecraft clones have been pulled. There are sandbox games based on voxels, they are not minecraft. I hope they can come to some agreement with valve over an iOS release to avoid lawsuit (if valve were planning a release of counter strike for ios later, they would have priority, even of its not ready) I am no lawyer, but that is my impression of how stuff works. |

This game is amazing, I play it on my friends Sony android and is an exact replica except the aim down sights with pistol and other weapons are a little wired but y'all get use to it.

It's not just that it's a copy of counterstrike. I think apple won't allow the game because it connects with pc and android users.

Example, every Gameloft multiplayer game. Shadowgun Deadzone is cross platform, or will be I should say. The cross platform element is down to the developers own software and servers. It's very difficult to integrate all the different api's but it isn't in the developer SDK as a reason for rejection. At least I can't see it if it is. |
