Does anyone have information about this? I'm really curious as the last update for Battle of Wesnoth has been released two years ago... |

Appears legit. The developer is present at the official Wesnoth site forums.
There's also an iPhone version. Maybe someone can add it to the OP. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/iwesnoth/id575239775?ls=1&mt=8 And yes, it appears this version lets you download from the official add-on and multiplayer servers. |

Great! With access to the add-ons / custom campaigns this game has tons of content...next months are already planned

Look good so far (just downloaded and started the tutorial). As written by the developer in the Wesnoth forum, you can only scroll by placing the cursor at the edges of the screen. No scrolling in lists, which makes browsing the add-ons kind of uncomfortable, but nothing serious (need to use the scrollbar on the right side).

Wesnoth is open source, so anyone could port it to iOS. This could be good though, since the previous release was abandoned several versions behind the current desktop version.

My question is this: for those who have bought this, is it a remake of the other game or is it a totally new game of sorts with new campaigns, maps and the like. I still own the original and I love it, but there is n sense buying this if it is the same game repackaged, even if it adds add on maps (since th original certainly was not lacking in content). I want to bite, but I want to make the informed purchase and not just dive in!
Originally I was coming here assuming this might be a shill job, but apparently it is the legit article, so now it is just a matter of knowing what I will be getting if I buy this! Thanks in advance for any responses! |

Here's just s few reasons to pick this one up over the old: - a LOT of bug fixes and tweaks - new/improved art - more campaigns - download new maps and campaigns from add-on server - multiplayer - an active developer who will hopefully keep things in line with the desktop releases |

So it's not a new game, "just" a more up-to-date version of Wesnoth. |
