Ok, to open up this discussion, I am going to post a quote I am personally very proud of (being the game designer of Dream of Pixels and all

I've been a big fan of their other games, Monkey Labour and Twinoo. I'm really looking forward to tonight's release.
EDIT: Unfortunately, I think I get the concept of "Tetris in reverse" but could the dev please embellish on the gameplay in more detail? I'm not sure that I completely understand what's going on...or I could just be overthinking it given that I'm still at work. Last edited by ColeDaddy; 11-14-2012 at 01:55 PM.. |

Ha! been waiting for this one. Today's been a little disappointing with most of my anticipated games turning out to be average. Hopefully this one takes it up a notch.

Of course, my friend. I am into it for a few days now, and if you enjoy a few knots in your brain - this is the weapon of choice. The presentation is top notch and it seems that this game just waited to be developed for the iPhone touch screen. Everything feels and works smooth like butter. This is basically Taetriz (hehe, I disguised the name) in reverse. you have a huge block which comes down from above, and after a short tutorial, you start cutting out different shapes out of the big block. But it isn't as easy as it sounds, because you always need to clear a complete line of small blocks out of the big block. If a block touches the bottom: game over. The game comes with several game modes, and each one feels unique. This is a fun game for all puzzle fans and a love letter to your logical senses. Oh, mind the music - it's really special. edit: I just started the Puzzles mode, fantastic and clever designed. Can't think of a way to make it better right now. 5/5 Last edited by Vovin; 11-14-2012 at 02:28 PM.. |

Low bandwidth Version | Pop Up And, second, I should add this link to the prototype we published on Kongregate, that was featured on freeindiegam.es yesterday and then Boing Boing picked it up to for their news, which had an awesome effect - almost 10k players in one day! http://www.kongregate.com/games/ziga...xels-prototype Hope playing the prototype a while explains the game mechanics, though I wish we made a good job with the tutorial even more - would love to get some feedback on that! Thanks! |

Thanks! I played the stripped down version found on your Kongregate link. It helped to explain gameplay exponentially!

Highly recommend this game. The trailer and gameplay videos don't do it justice. If you even remotely enjoy Tetris, I think you'll like this game.

I've really enjoyed the Kongregate version so I'm sure the polished up version will only blow my mind!

This is the best game of this week easily, a must buy!
Such a simple concept, it's funny no one ever thought of it before. An absolute steal at 99c, this could of been a full price DS game. No IAP. Gamecenter leader boards and achievements. Reverse Tetris is better than Original Tetris, bad luck EA, should think outside the box for a change. Last edited by ramon31; 11-14-2012 at 08:56 PM.. |
