I do, actually. I do point that out as well. It's in the description update.
EDIT: It's there now, but it's at the bottom of the features section. Last edited by Sinan; 10-17-2012 at 02:25 PM.. |

I've changed the description again, but it still says limit poker.
On Android, a recent update (1.44) added various visual enhancements. We are working on an update for iOS to bring the same features in 1.44 to iOS. The update will be 1.45. EDIT: actually, 1.45 brings new features and is a major update. We will make an announcement when it becomes available on the iOS App Store. Last edited by Sinan; 10-17-2012 at 02:23 PM.. |

It has nothing to do with being "solvable" mathematically. Creating good and interesting poker AI is a hard task regardless if it's limit or no limit, in fact it was one of the things that took the most development time to get right. It's what the game is about. I took an AI CS class in University, and one of the things you have to do is to tweak the AI to get it just right. This takes a long time, and for a video game you have to find a balance with respect to gameplay. We could have made the game 'no limit' but then that would have made rounds last much longer, and yes it does compicate the AI slightly. But, it's limit because we want the gameplay to move along quicker. Last edited by Sinan; 11-22-2012 at 07:34 PM.. |

May I suggest if you're really, really interested in programming poker games, check out the work already done by the Poker Academy people up in Canada. They had Phil Laak play their PokiBot and it came really close to beating him and a partner. Limit is pretty much solved, if I were doing a poker game that was for single player, I'd work on NL bots. This is ok, but I'm sorry, not worth $3, I'd be willing to pay 1.99 but no higher. Limit is like watching paint drying.
