Early impressions... Dungeon Heroes so far is worth a dollar but not for everyone. It's sort of a roguelike/arpg hybrid with a mix of detailed level design with multiple quests/stages and action rpg combat. Here are some early impressions:
Item Management - There are six item slots shared between potions or stat boosting equipment. Often you have to chose between carrying a health potion or a +2 armor boosting armor shard. Combat - played as the Battlemage. Tap attack to swing sword of there were options of fireball or fire shield (damaging fire circling character). Compared to modern krpgs the combat animation is wooden but serviceable. So far the first battlemage stage was not too difficult but fun. Enemies ignore you until you get close then a yellow exclamation mark indicates you've drawn their attention. So far I wish the game was a little more difficult but it's early on. Exploration - movement is slow but comparable with some rogue-likes. The level I played had triggers required to open doors, traps, and treasure chests with each segment teleporting to the next divided into "levels." The stage had a mini-boss and a boss. There is an endless high score mode I am not sure how it plays yet. Each character appears to have unique levels. The gameplay screen appears optimized for iPhone 5 but there are occassional framing issues in the menu (aligned left with dead space right). Last edited by undeadcow; 11-17-2012 at 11:19 AM.. |

Not speaking for anyone else, but I think what comes off as offensive is the entitled tone of the original post... I am NOT suggesting you felt entitled when you wrote it.
After watching TA members TOFTT for a while, you begin to understand (hopefully ) that you're essentially hoping someone else will potentially waste their money so you don't have to.I'm grateful that people do it, I've done it, and there's nothing like the feeling of dumping money into a crappy game. It feels bad, because the game stinks, but also good, because you have the opportunity to inform others, and that's one of the more rewarding parts of belonging to TA. In the end, either be the one who does it when it's your turn, or wait for someone else to do it and be grateful for the help. ![]() ![]() DBC |
