Default BEST SIDE SCROLLING SHOOTERS Please?
Howdy!

I'm hoping for advice on the best side scrolling shooters on the platform. I'm currently playing the newer/freemium sector strike, but looking for better and/or something new as I know there are a ton out there, I just forget which ones.

Can someone please provide a list or some of their face side scrolling shooters?
I'm not talking vertical, ie. CAVE, but the side scrollers.

Thoughts please?

Toon Shooters is great and deserves more attention. Of course, if you want to go old school, there's always R-Type. Space Tripper is kind of side scrolling as well (within a fixed arena) and is one of my all-time favorites.

The big one missing from the above is Blazing Star.

I really like deathsmiles, space tripper, blazing star, dariousburst, and toon shooters?

You are talking about shmups right cause ninjackid was listing a lot of platformers.
