Hello everyone! I'm still looking for a good roguelike dungeon crawler game, I saw the recent Dungeon Heroes (which seems nice) and I heard some nice things about NetHack (which seems too aggressive for me, graphically speaking...) and Sword of Fargoal (which seems... nice too?)...
So! What about those games and are there some good others too? Thx to the community ![]() (By the way, is Sword of Fargoal's loots randomly-generated or not? And are there different lvls of rarity?) |

Unfortunately there is no pure full and featured GOOD roguelike on iOS yet.
Sword of Fargoal is lots of fun though. The best roguelikes I have played in recent memory have all been on Steam. If you have an iPad hope that they port FTL now thats one hell of a game. |

So, what are their names?
(those games from Steam)

Hack Slash Loot is decent but the graphics will give you eyecancer.
Dungeons of Dredmore is probably the best pure roguelike on Steam. The best games imo are the ones who put their own spin on the roguelike concept. Binding of Isaac is really (really really) great and FTL (Faster than Light) is the best roguelike I've ever played, bar none. |

I've always been a fan of 100 rogues, it's had a permanent place on my phone since its iOS release.

The game has cool sound effects and decent old school graphics.

OK. "Roguelike style" being relatively new for me, I understood that I needed to start from the very beginning
![]() So, I bought both FTL & DoD on Steam! FTL seems amazing after "only" a few deaths... and DoD is nice, even I chain-death 4 times /5 :P I need some practice... Best score on FTL for now is sector 4, but I died in a fight against a stronger ship than me unfortunately! DoD seems very deeeeeep with its many skill trees, a lot of options... |

Oh and by the way, I'm playing Dungeon Desktop right now, which is pretty cool too, in a "puzzle-roguelike-dungeon-crawler way"
