No worries, 3.5 has been tough for a few people. FYI, we've already made some changes to it in the 1.0.3 build.

The best way to beat 3.5 is not to overbuild in the lane that the snowmen appear or remove some units right before they enter the lanes. It runs a little counter to the normal gameplay (build lots of stuff in the lanes) but that's the trick to it. Watch the notification box (top left) for the warnings about the snowmen and as soon as you see them appear on the screen, immediately send in the winged monkeys to clear that lane. Once you do that, the snowmen should be carried off safely.

In the next update, I put more blocker units before the snowmen so that even if players have built up a lot of Ozians in the lanes, the snowmen won't get killed immediately.

Thanks for the tip. That's what I've thought too. Will try it again. Hard to move on, if my goal is to perfect every stage.

Love the graphics style, how about the gameplay, looks quite similar to PvZ?

John,

Glad you love the graphic style. As to your question, MoO is our version of a "lane defense" game. There have been a number of games of this type out there of course, including PvZ but we like to think we've added our own very unique bits (Formation Crafting for example), to the genre. And with what we have going in over the next few months, it's safe to say that we will further differentiate ourselves from the competition, including PvZ (which is a truly fun game) and the other lane defense games of which we are aware.

Default Quick Updates

Folks,

Version 1.0.3 has been approved for release in the App Store. We're doing another "final check" on the version today (I'm paranoid about these things) and if all goes well, it will be available for download sometime today or tomorrow. Here are the highlights for this update:

1) A "Skip Tutorial" button has been added to the game due to overwhelming consensus from the players/reviewers that the tutorial was too long/slow. Thanks for the feedback, we really do appreciate it!

2) New "Message of the Day" added to the game. So, expect more updates from us through the game (and here of course). FYI, this MotD is not going to be used to advertising.

3) Lots of balance changes including upgrades to Firelight, Electra and Nay Palm.

4) Introduction of a new N.O.M.E. - Yuki- Ono.

5) Lots of typos & grammar edits.

6) Number of small bugs, level balance issues crushed.

We're currently working on version 1.1 and hope to have it in the App Store before the end of the year but we probably won't be able to make it in before the iTunes/App Store end of the year shutdown.

We've continued to test the AA-enabled version and so far, no problems with the iPad 2 & iPad 3 builds. We'll continue testing it this week but it looks like it will be enabled for 1.1.

Wow! Can't wait. Although I have been busy lately, since my brother gave me a Mist of Pandaria expansion/digital license for World of Warcraft. Haha. But still, will try to find time to play this game and finish every map with perfect scores.

By the way, I play on an iPad 3, and so far I have not experienced any problems/issues other than a slight delay/choke when the guys are marching the yellow brick road. The game itself is pretty much stable and smooth, given all those crazy graphics.

Folks,

Hey, just wanted to drop in and let you know what we are working on MoO currently. Among other things, programming/design has been focusing on getting snow effects in the game to be more interesting than they are currently. We're doing things like making the snow effects more dynamic/powerful depending on the level of difficulty including having the snow/melting snow act as both a DoT (Damage over Time) and De-buff (change the attack/movement speed) of units. We do some of that currently through level scripting but once we get these changes in, units such as Firelight, the Royal Gardener (who will be playable in 1.1) will take on even greater importance. Also, we are adding damage/resistance tables to the units so that the amount of damage done to a unit will change based on the element associated with the attack. We're also working on the AA-option so players will be able to crank it up to 2x in 1.1.

We are also working on the new preview and map displays and they are also both slated for 1.1. We've just early versions of Jack PumpkinHead almost ready to go and the concept artists have finished all of the units that are slated for 1.1 & 1.2.

Oh, and if you haven't liked our City State Entertainment & March on Oz pages for FB please help us out. We're almost at 400 for CSE, so if you could do that, we would appreciate it!

I was looking at this, liking what I saw and I can't express enough joy at a developer who hasn't implemented IAP within their title... No game with IAP holds my attention for any length of time, I want to buy a game and enjoy it and progress without consider if I want to spend more to proceed.
