Instead of making the game free, they better stop these annoying puzzles with a time limit. Bought the game when it was released and still have not finished it because of that. When you play puzzle games you want to take your time and figure it out. Not have to hurry because of a timer.

Bought it few months back. Haven't tried it yet. But are all the puzzles timed? If so, please add an option to remove it. No one likes time limits. Except game developers.

I don't feel as polarized by the timed puzzle deal. I do like to take my time with games I really like... but such is life. I had been interested in checking this one out for a while... now I can do so for free. Can't beat that.
One of the nice alternatives to the count down timer is the count up timer... and getting some kind of bonus for finishing under a certain time (level rankings, better ending, something cool). So that encourages replay rather than pushing replay up front to stop folks dead in their tracks that cant figure out a level. Just food for thought for the dev. |

Doubtful. Nintendo publishes those games in the US. I wouldn't be surprised if Level-5 and Nitnendo have some kind of exclusive deal for Professor Layton.
