Which FPS Series do you prefer, and why?

The first Rainbow Six game was very very memorable.

I'm an old school FPSer, so naturally my fondest memories come from games such as Corridor 7, Wolfenstein 3D, DooM I & II, Duke Nukem 3D, Rise of the Triad, Shadow Warrior, Quake and Heretic lol. All of these games had a certain charm to them and high replay value due to the large assortment of weapons. I mean, this stuff literally blew my mind at the time with their vast environments both urban and mystical. Plus, I tried on this backpack that enabled every impact to be felt lol. Good times.

Ah,the good ol' times when games where actually good,when games required you to have a brain to be able to compete them...what we've got today are a bunch of mindless shooters

But still,there are a couple of gems every once in a while (ARMA series...)

my first fps was doom and wolfstein, so yeah I love both of them, but for modern fps, I like battlefield, although the new one doesnt really that good....

Duke Nukem 3D is the best FPS in the history of the world.

Yep, picked 1 & 2 up for $10 on steam, should last me a while.
