Next major version (1.1) will include drops (powerups as consumable potions) and gold coins (and you will be able to unlock all pro powerups with gold coins).

If you play enough, all pro powerups will be unlocked just with collected gold.

There is an update already on review at Apple Store to balance gameplay and fix some issues. Drops and gold coins will be available at mid Jan-2013.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We hear you!
While a Quest Mode might really push the Game also in the right direction I honestly really would advise the team to also think about the Story Plot too.

About the Story Plot: noted and just asked to the team to work on it.
Thank you for all the valuable feedback!

The only app I have that expands like that is Appshopper (I have screenshots of it getting over 500 megabytes)...I've never heard of a game expanding like that, crazy. Appshopper I have to delete and reinstall every so often, but that's gotta be because (educated guess here) it must not be sending the data back to the server correctly. Saw this last night and was going to try it; but not at that size...yeeesh!

Have you considered trying a few other things to go along with your
game play mechanics?

Draw a line and your character charges through the ranks.
As he hits them , sprites pinwheel away off the screen

Tap the enemies and they squish like a bug .

Draw a circle around your hero and he follows the path spinning and slashing as he goes.

Tap and hold for a charged up shockwave that pushes the enemy
backwards. They bump into the back ranks and damages them as we'll.

A few more touch moves would really add to the fun factor here.

Thanks
