It could be the best "under the radar" release of the week. The trailer looks amazing and i can't wait to see if it controls well. Expensive day...

This is pretty good... Text has a lot of errors, luckily there isn't much of it past the tutorial. The game feels a bit slower than it does from the video though.
Apart from that, it's quite interesting. You control jump/slide and attack by swiping on screen and you must avoid enemies of different kinds. There are different "quests" that a villager gives you at the start of each section. Completing these gives you "rep" which fills up a bar at the end of the game. If you manage to fill it, you get a multiplier added to the score. (Not sure if that's to the run's score, or permanently from that point on. The missions themselves are quite fun and varied, including at least one "boss fight" (it was just a different, cooler enemy that ran away and came back, but still!) and slashing propaganda posters, freeing geishas in distress, etc. You get exp for defeating the enemies. When you level up, you get a point to spend on passive or active perks and skills. Fun stuff. The art obviously looks gorgeous. |
