In case you didn't read it yet, you should take a look at this blog post from Pierre. Last year he made 200k€, this year it's going up to 400 k€.
He shares his impressions, analysis and also more important the tools he uses.

Nice post. If making educational games is something you enjoy that is great news. As long as you're doing what you love, you can succeed right? Ok time to make edu apps!

saw this on hacker news a few days ago and I think the first reply there is pretty insightful.

Without going into specifics, I know other cases like this where someone made a bundle off a highly recognized name. Unfortunately in other cases, those words were trademarked so they had to be pulled eventually.

Sure that good keywords can help, but you'll also find many many many apps with "Montessori" in the title + keywords that don't meet such a huge success...
