I realize that actually, a lot of the name of the enemies and swords in this game sound like that from The Hobbit. I read the book some time back but never remembered the names (were they even mentioned as such?) till I saw the movie.

Smaug the Terrible and Azog the Defiler both sound like they came out of GoB!!!

And yeah, the swords Foehammer and Goblin Cleaver.

To the devs, you guys were inspired by works of fantasy. Was Tolkien's Middle Earth lore one of them?

It certainly was, along with the works of many other fantasy authors. But tolkien gave rise to much of the work from which we drew inspiration--his influence is not something that can be discounted. We're so flattered that anyone would even think of our work in the same thought as Tolkien--we had many late night middle earth lore discussions. Thanks so much for noticing, for playing, and to the community for being generally awesome. I hope that the legacy of God of Blades inspires people to share stories, art, and personal accounts of things that matter to them for some time to come. Thanks again from all of us, and the best of holiday wishes to all!

Yes, 60+ pages of mutual admiration society footage later... the game is lame.

I wish someone had said that it lags on an iphone 4 to the point that it isn't fun to continually get hit due to the game lagging. After reading the review I didn't think it would be that bad. 5/5?...hardly 4/5 at best

Giving this game a second chance. The multiplayer mode seems fun, but I don't have any Gamecenter friends. Care to add me? johannaffendy

Easiest way i found to do that is to use whisper, use your powers right away when youre close and was able to hit him (so that he's open to the rest of your barrage). One time i was able to beat the Sable King using this strategy, and spamming forward slashes, i didnt even have to look at the fight. That was a long time back, maybe changes have been made since then.
I finally beat it! Thanks man

Playing this again today, and i have to say, this just has more of the right reasons to get back into playing than say, Rayman Run, unless you havent finished Rayman yet.

Im actually quite glad the Revenant mode was released, even though it did make Eternal almost non-existent.

Anyone else playing this because of Eternal mode? Or did Revenant mode replace it for you as well?
