Is it still as difficult to play as the original Governor of Poker?

Is anybody else playing this? I've got the HD ipad version and I've been blasting through the solo play. It's a lot of fun. I'm not a great poker player, but I like the game and understand some of the strategies. The AI seems balanced. I have had long streaks where I am on fire and other streaks where I can't seem to get a hand, just like in the real game. I much prefer this type of poker app over a Texas Hold'em poker app playing online against live people. I play by myself or asynchronously almost exclusively.
Anyway, I've found a potential game breaking bug. I'm playing one of the larger tournaments towards the end of the solo campaign. I'm winning pretty handily right now, but there's still about half the players in the game. Normally, when playing against a full table of 8 players, there are other tables that you cannot see. When your table gets down to 4 players, the computer automatically combines tables and brings in players from other tables to refill the seats. That's all fine and dandy...until you beat everybody on the table in one hand. I eliminated the last 3 players besides myself before the computer could refill the seats. The computer refilled the seats after I was the last man standing, but the problem is the computer thinks that I am the big blind, small blind and the dealer because I was the only person left at my table before the new players came in, so it won't deal any cards. It just sits there. Broken. It's a real bummer, too, because I'm going to lose some cash and the tourney if I have to leave the table. I can save and exit, but it brings me back to the same spot. Looks like my only option is to quit the tournament and give up my win. Bummer. Aside from this one scenario, I haven't had any other problems playing. Very smooth. Gameplay is fast. There's IAP for cash that can be used to enter tournaments, but I haven't needed any. Does anybody know how to contact this developer? I looked around the App Store, but didn't find any emails or links. |

I've had this on appshopper. Too bad this has apparently now gone as a lite version with an IAP unlock.
It's not a bad game that I've played before on the PC. Edit: I'm seeing some ads in this game. Not sure if a full unlock would get rid of them. Last edited by indalico; 02-24-2013 at 08:08 AM.. |
