Yeah, I'd have to say it depends on your view of Square's titles. If your enjoyed the first one, or looking for a sort of FFX like title on your iDevice, then yeah, I'd say pick it up.
But if you don't really like 3D RPGs, or feel that Square titles aren't worth their prices, you just might wind up being disappointed. Personally... I love Square Enix, and just can't get enough of em. I thought it was worth it at the original price, BWAHAAAAA THIS IS MY 10,000th POST!! Last edited by syntheticvoid; 12-31-2012 at 05:28 PM.. |

Thanks for the help. How does it compare to TWEWY?

I thought TWEWY was more suited for the touchscreens, IMO, especially coming from the DS...
But as far as story/substance goes, I thought that the story in TWEWY was better than CR2, but CR2 has quite a bit more substance/a longer plot and story arc. As far as gameplay, it's hard to compare the two because they're so different... With CR2 being a turn-based system and TWEWY being more Real-Time/Action RPGesque. So... Yeah... Sorry... Hard for me to compare the two, but I feel that they're both definitely worth picking up. But I'd play through TWEWY again before playing through CR2 again. I recently got TWEWY and is one of the best titles I've played on my iPad. Just keep in mind though that it is not your traditional JRPG.

Did anybody try Chrono Trigger on an IPad 2 and how did it look? I have heard a lot of moaning re: "vaseline filter" on the visuals and some other stuff that supposedly makes it much inferior to DS/SNES original (music?), is there actually any truth to it?
