Definitely I enjoy dog days. Legion was great but i played on that map way too much. Also paradise seems good but i never get connected to that match. I'm new here so don't troll me please

HUD is very unique to each person but best advice is where you can hit them fast.
Sprint, ironsight and fire are all grouped together on right hand side on mine (between home button and screen bottom) and weapon switching and reload is right in the middle of left hand side (exactly beside home button).
Bottom right hand side is for looking around. All on iPad 4 as well. Leave crouch on left hand side but place it beside front camera, its easier than default.

Edit. Killjoys set up above is very close to mine. Mine are just a small bit lower down on the right hand side.

Perk up your first gun with attachments. Original muzzle or recoil booster, skeleton stock, tactical holo, fmj and tac 2 grip is what I've found works best on it. It is very good with the right attachments. For some reason I find it doesn't work well with stealth class and screecher rounds but works great with intervention class and fmj.
Then when have enough get ufia. Very mobile and accurate.

Then get the jolt as a secondary. It's the best weapon in the game for me. Tac 2 grip, tactical holo, jhp rounds and linear compensator. Its also good with no grip. It is a killing machine.

Since your profile says you use the iPhone 5, how's the game on the iphone? Is there a motion blur effect like On mc3? I'm on ipad mini and I miss the effect it's really cool

Have one more question: when I buy something from the "Attachments" submenu in "Shop", how do I equip the things I bought? (how is it different from the "Customization" next to every gun?)

Its not, it should appear when you customize unless what you bought isn't compatible with the gun you are customizing.
