Those games were pulled due to a strange licencing deal I signed back before we created Cat in a Box Games - the rights belonged to another company, and they owned the iTunes account.

Now the rights have expired and they've reverted back to me, so I *could* put them back on the App Store under Cat in a Box, but they're so old that they now violate apple's submission guidelines!

Mostly, the high score system they use is based on the device's UDID, but calling that function now counts as a "privacy concern", so if I just resubmitted the binaries, it would be rejected.

If they do come back, it would be with Game Center leader boards, but that's not my top priority these days...


...unless there's huge demand for them to come back? I'm surprised this thread has already come back to life, that's an eye opener that this is something that people still care about. I'll take it into consideration.

Red conquest is still there, Fastar is still there, and the sequel to the original Blue Defense (Second Wave) is still in the App Store for iPhone and iPod touch.

It's just blue attack and the original Blue Defense that are missing.

Man, there still isn't an RTS like RC on the AppStore. The game was so ahead of its time (Dec. 2009). Really hope we'll see the next chapter one day.

Woahh I forgot all about these games. Seems like forever ago. Loved them back in the day.

I say bring em back. You could bundle them and make a blue arcade and switch between games in like an old school arcade setting (if that makes sense)

Would be super cool!

Keep seeing this thread and thinking its a new release, then getting confused. Will this game work on the ipad 3? Is it universal? Might give it a whirl, but then again maybe not if it will get pulled soon.
