Is there plans to come to iOS/Android? Its already in Unity 3D so shouldn't be so hard....

Good question! Although the game uses deferred rendering that requires a lot of bandwidth, this is not an engine issue in the first place. It's more about controls: there are quite a few buttons that you have to press simultaneously, and implementing this on a touchscreen device is not a feasible option. Thus, the game should either be simplified a lot or there should be a controller available -- unless someone comes up with a brilliant touchscreen interface.

I think if this game were simplified, it would be better. The mobile gaming audience is a lot more casual too. Hopefully, you guys consider this.

So the problem lies in the fact that (1) iOS devices' touch-screen is not suitable for the game to be played (Project Shield has a touch-screen but also has a physical keyboard), (2) iOS devices' hardware is not strong enough to handle the game (Project Shield uses NVIDIA Tegra 4 which is much stronger)???

That was the time when iPad 3, iPad 4 and iPhone 5 have not been introduced. With the appearance of these devices, as well as upcoming iOS devices (iPad 6, iPhone 5S...), the second problem can be solved! The first problem can also be solved as there are some rumors that Apple is developing a physical game controller for iOS devices. Therefore, there's no reason that Rochard cannot be fully ported to iOS.

WE WANT A FULL PORT OF ROCHARD TO iOS, NOT A ROCHARD-THEMED iOS GAME, RECOIL GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why are people posting in a Mac thread that they want an ios version? Particularly when the developer already explained why they don't feel they can deliver a quality port?

If there comes a time they can, I am sure they will, but do you really think your posting and complaining (using caps, bold, etc) is really going to make a difference?

BTW, this is an awesome game and one of the first I picked up when I got my MacBook Air.

So if you do own a Mac, and don't own this game, it is absolutely worth checking out.

Well, there's no Rochard for iOS but we are still considering it.

Meanwhile, here's a trailer for our new iOS game 'Rock Runners':

Coming very soon.

(Sorry for posting iOS stuff here.)
