Hi Dekon,
You can tilt the world a little like Loco Roco (actually a bit like Rolando by tilting the phone), but you only control the crane up and down and then tilting to make it swing around. The creatures stay asleep and stuck to the ground until you pick them up, at which point they essentially become a bit of the crane too. The trailer's up on Chillingo's site now which might make my ramblings a bit clearer http://www.chillingo.com/games/dingle-dangle/I made the game BTW so any other questions you have I'd be happy to answer ![]() Cheers, stu |

S... so it's a game about dingleberries? Brings new meaning to the term "toilet games".

I like the lowering mechanic, and I can see why tilting makes sense... but not so sure I want to do it with my iPad. Gonna wait and see what kind of reception this gets from others

This looks adorable -- and that game mechanic is intriguing.
My only reservation is how the tilting works out on iPad. I gave Rolando a spin in 2x mode on my iPad mini a few days ago, and tilting the tablet was a lot less comfortable than tilting an iPod Touch. It felt like the game should have been more responsive -- more sensitive -- to my actions. Felt like I had to actively *rotate* the iPad, like it was the wheel of a car, to play the game. Wasn't really fun. Has anyone tried playing Dingle Dangle on an iPad yet? |

Stupid IAP shenanigans aside, this is quite outstanding and the best chance Chillingo has had in a while at "the next big thing."
I actually prefer this on the iPad, as it affords you a slightly finer degree of control. Tilting the iPad is as comfortable as tilting the iPad ever is, but the mechanic itself is certainly implemented extremely well. |
