Editing signature

Hi there,
I am sorry to post here, but I can't seem to find where I can alter my signature.

I looked in my profile obviously, and found a page with a bunch of editable profile bits about myself, but the signature on that page was non editable.

What am I missing??!

User CP (user control panel) > settings and options (found on the left side of the screen) > edit signature.
