App spy has a review up. Top Rated as 5, "great".

Bought it!

(Played it for a bit and blown away by both the graphics and the framerate. That will keep me busy during commuting for a while.)

Absolutely - think of it this way - the game runs on iPad 1 at 60hz too.....the iPad 4th Gen and iPhone 5 are absolute beasts. If we could be let loose on the next gen stuff now - I promise you - you'll see something exceptional and beyond your expectations. Its always hardware fragmentation that controls the limits. I just hope we selll enough to get to a point of showing you want I think next gen mobile should be.

Just to be clear on the development team....

DEV TEAM
Me - Production and Design (Partner in Playrse)
Chris Maloney - Art Director (Partner in playrise)
Chris Roberts - Programming and Tools (not a partner in Playrise yet!!! God I want him to join us he's awesome)

Simon - Chairman (Partner in Playrise and Investor) not involved in development

Just to answer the PM about the Playrise Edge name too. Playrise Digital has two dev teams, Playrise Edge (Focussed on cutting edge stuff) and Playrise Casual (focussed on more casual type products - more on that another time). Playrise Digital is actually the Publisher and IP holder

Hope that helps.

Well, I can't wait to see what you do next then because using the gamecenter numbers as a baseline, after less than a day out, those numbers are pretty good.
Especially considering site reviews are not all online fully yet and as the early ones I've seen all rate it very highly
And once the App Store updates, I'm going to assume its going to have to be on one of the featured or new and noteworthy lists, at least, which will have a massive boost.

It's very interesting to read your perspective so thanks for your posts

No problem at all. Everyone is very passionate about what they do here at Playrise and the I think a wider engagement with gamers is a good thing. When you're inside a big company all pr and communications is handled by someone who's job it is to solely do that. When you're a small team like us - you gotta do it yourself and I think gamers DO want to hear from us. Loving the feedback so far guys - makes all the long hours worthwhile. To be featured would be an absolute dream, but no one but apple get a say over that.

OMG, I'd kill to see the iPad 4 used to it's full advantage. The iPad3 was a complete mistake, the internal hardware was nowhere near powerful enough to make the most of the ridiculously large resolution. I always skip a generation when it comes to iDevices and will continue doing so, only buying the even numbers. iPad2 and the new 4th Gen have been the best hardware so far. If Apple updated their hardware every 2 years we would see larger improvements and there wouldn't be such a huge processing difference between the myriad of devices!

I hope iPad mini 2 has the exact same specs of the 4th gen iPad but in it's smaller form factor!

Well, if what I have heard about the next gen stuff A15 and PowerVR Rogue stuff is true - we're going to be easily looking at console quality but the resolutions would still be very high. I'd love Apple to stick all that stuff in a TV and use my iDevice as the controller - Big 4k TV, real quality games that you can just walk out the house with and carry on playing - NB Dreamin'
