I have not played them yet, but I believe most of the Ratchet & Clank games are supposed to be good (with some exceptions - see reviews on amazon). They are all E10+. Perhaps start with the originals, HD remakes? Or perhaps jump to the PS3 games.

Ni No Kuni is getting great reviews and the game looks sooo beautiful. I really want to pick that up, but I have a hard time spending $60 for a game. It is $55 as a PSN download apparently, but that $5 discount doesn't seem like enough for a download version.

The last game I spent $60 on was BO2 and BF3. I tend to not be able to wait when it comes to my favorite FPS's.

However, i try to never spend more than $40 on a game. I still haven't gotten AC3 for that reason.

Few games are worth $60

Your best option is always to get it online, new or used. Forget PSN.

Amazon right now has several options for Ni Ni Kuni for under $40. Or you could wait a few weeks and get it for $20.

I don't expect to be buying a PS4 (or Xbox 720) any time soon. In 2 or 3 years, sure, once the price drops. Unless they come up with a way to make it cheap at launch.

They say it'll be in the $300 range.

I wont be getting it at release or anything but with my lack of a gaming PC, I won't be able to wait more than 6 months.

I quite like the news/rumor that the PS4 will record the last 15 minutes of gameplay which you can edit/share at your heart's content, I've had some one-in-a-million flukes in my time gaming that no one else will ever see.

Generally though... I can't stand new console releases. If you buy it too soon, you're gonna have "the old crappy, fat version" within 18 months. Plus I fear it'll lack compatibility for PS3 games. That's another 110 game cases consigned to the secure location under my bed, never to be seen again. Oh, and I despise fanboy wars, worst thing about gaming by far. People need to get a grip.

Resurrecting this thread for folks with psplus - there is an 80% off EA games so i picked up Dragon Age II for 3.99. Many other games and add ons for just a couple of bucks. Again PS Plus i believe is needed.
