App description: Which are YOU? An Apothecary Healer or a Lord of Pestilence?

Choose your destiny and determine the course of events in the groundbreaking new game from Nerdcore Learning and Wulven Game Studios.

Developed by two physician/gamers, Healing Blade plunges the player into a world of sorcery and creatures, where real-world knowledge of infectious diseases and therapeutics play a pivotal role in the winning strategy.

CHOOSE ONE OF TWO SIDES

- The Apothecaries, Champions of the Healing Blade whose namesakes hearken from real world antibiotics.

- The Lords of Pestilence, Creatures of Disease and manifestations of actual bacterial agents.

As you and your opponent seek domination through corruption and conquest, you must vie not only with brute force, but also with planning, strategy, and most importantly, an astute understanding of microbiology and medical therapeutics.

Healing Blade gives you the unparalleled opportunity to enter a fantasy realm where the rules of combat deeply and accurately reflect the real world's battles against infectious disease. Reshape the Battlefield Zone to your advantage. At every turn you control the forces and special conditions that influence the outcome of each encounter. Each Champion has a unique set of gifts and abilities, and can be upgraded to powerful adversaries by way of real-world phenomena such as resistance and synergy. Summon forth living manifestations of diseases, or counter-attack with antibiotics in the form of powerful warriors.

Based on the physical card game by Nerdcore Learning.

Just going to throw this out there. This looks like it has no multi-player at all that I can tell anyway. It's got weird touches like it wasn't really well thought out as far as being on a touch device. For instance you cant scroll the instructions by just using your finger on the screen, you have to use a scroll bar (a la' Windows), looks super tiny and blurry even on a ipad. You literally cant read the cards and when you double tap them it brings up darn near a full screen view for card stats and You still cant read the card so they print out the card info beside the blurry pic of the card so you can read it?????
Jaggy blurry mess with wasted screen real estate is the best way to describe it. Ooh and the tutorial is a help screen with lke 3 sentences, and a picture of a card with reference points that aren't on the card.

I am not a picky person when it comes to low res card art, you literally can not read the Info that you need on the card. And that blown up view is nasty.

TERRIBLE! Ha

I dig these games but i wouldn't recommend this.

Thanks...I'm always scouring the store for new ccgs, deckbuilding games, etc. Funny thing is I've never owned a physical version of any ccg in my life. The obsession started when I dl'ed Magic the Gathering: Duel of the Planeswalkers with all expansions from the now defunct (mostly) Home of the Underdogs over a decade ago.

I spotted another one the other day that's only single-player but free. Check out spellchain...pretty simple, but who knows, maybe it will be updated. The cards are tiny on an iphone; its probably better tested on an ipad.
