Alas, I never got a chance to expand the game. So the lite version and full version are identical with the exception that the lite version is limited to two player human vs. computer. The full version has four players of any combination human or computer.

I really liked the board game feel of Mother Lode, especially the chance to control the NPC pieces (space worms, space squids and space pirates). It just needed a bit of refinement and especially marketing.

I haven't heard of it until I saw it in a list somewhere these few days, and I have been looking for more iOS board/card/dice games for quite a while now...

Looking forward to your next iOS boardgame.

I did what I could regarding marketing. Got in touch with the various review sites. Not many paid much attention. Probably because, let's face it, the game is rough. You hit the nail on the head with it needing refinement. Almost a year after release I can definitely see glaring problems in the original design.

I would love to revisit the game, but now that I have a full time job any development will be relegated to evenings and weekend.

A quick thread revival to say that I made the full version of Mother Lode available for free. I am in the process of shutting down my business. One of the side effects will be to remove the game from the app store. Before that happens I wanted to make it free for those that are still interested.

I have been told that it works in iOS 7, though I haven't tried it myself.

Yeah... Sorry to hear about the business, but this is a great game and people show like board games should pick it up!

Sorry it took this long but I finally checked out the game (was holding out for some sort of stat tracking as I recall way back) and now realize this WAS NOT just "Survive!" with a space theme but, by throwing in an opponent and strategic action cards, much more.

My biggest whines would all be centered around the action cards. They were very awkward to even use without tangling one's fingers, and beyond that, often not clear (without any text that I recall) how they were supposed to be used.

I also still wished there were some basic single player stats for win/loss and other stuff (not even necessarily through GC).
