I just learned of this game from Pocket Tactics, sounds a bit like a quick playing solitaire board game in the style of FTL or Weird Worlds.
I'm close to pulling the trigger, but as always, I need to know if it tracks any sort of local stats/highscores before I commit (I don't think it supports GC). |

Having been bitten by Weird Worlds, but being interested in FTL, I am waiting for more positive reviews to come in before downloading...

I picked it up and just finished my first game. Here are some brief notes:
i beat my first game, but barely (i think?). I was lucky and found my last 2 planets right at the last second. It can get difficult to manage your hull, energy, etc while still moving around and exploring. Right now though it feels a little too easy, and too flat. There is room here for improvement, though. I'd give it 3.5 stars. I'll probably round up to 4 for the App Store to encourage people to get it. In the end, I'll probably play a few more games to see if it's really too easy or if I was just lucky. Then I'll hope to see an update with more stuff to do! I don't regret the purchase, but I won't exactly be playing this every moment of every day (like what happened with FTL...). Last edited by cplr; 02-04-2013 at 05:59 PM.. |

I lost my first game just about every planet was an X! Out of about 15 only 1 was colonizable. Awesome game NEEDS STATS! Play is fast which is a ig plus IMO.

Does this one play in Strange Adventures in Infinite Space?

Do you mean is it like SAIS? From what Pocket Tactics says, sort of. It's a quick space exploration game in a random galaxy. However, unlike SAIS, it isn't score based, more a matter of winning/losing the challenge. If I understand it right the challenge is can you keep your ship from falling apart long enough to colonize 4 planets?

Wait, there are two Infinite Space games?
"Weird World: Return to Infinite Space" and "Strange Adventures in Infinite Space"? Are they related? |

Weird Worlds is the sequel of the original SAIS, but the first to be ported to iOS I think. Confused yet?

Which is better?
And yes, waiting on FTL too, have it on PC but it feels better suited for iPad play. |
