Technical hooking question here: will Mikey be able to aim his hookshots, ala Hook Champ and SQH, or will it auto-aim like in Hook Worlds?

The reason I never fully got into Hook Worlds, despite HC and SQH being my favorite games, was that the hooking control was automatic and thus less precise.

Just my 2 cents. Rock on.

Great question. Mikey Hooks uses an auto-aim system to shoot his hook. The hook targets are usually spaced out enough so it shouldn't be too surprising where your hook will attach. Even when the targets are next to each other, we've found the auto-aim to behave quite well.

When I play HC and SQH, I do all sorts of crazy tapping at various angles. The lack of manual hooking in Hook Worlds is my main excuse for playing poorly.

Same here. Sounds like the mechanic in Mikey Hooks should work well, though. Especially if it's sharing space with the jump button.
