Snowboarding TnT

I couldn't find a thread about this, even though it was just front-paged...anyone want to try it? I would TOFTT if it was skiing rather than snowboarding, but ah well...

EDIT: ahh, dang it...made a typo in the thread title...

You misspelt the title, btw. Looks pretty interesting but I think I'll hold off until I see some good reviews.

I know, sorry. Funny thing is, I read over it before I posted it, and didn't even notice...I can't change it myself, can I?

Great environments compared to Crazy Snowboard, but the 2d model decision was a bad one I think =/

Yeah these types of games are the few that I much prefer be 3D.

This game seems to run at a distractingly low framerate on my iPhone 3G. I'm not sure if it's the framerate of the 3D portion of the game, or the limited animations of your character that makes this stick out so much. There also isn't any way to adjust the sensitivity of the tilt controls, so to have any success I had to play the game with my phone against my desk to have a good reference to what was actually straight. Overall the control lacks the precision required to navigate the tracks, which is pretty frustrating.

The biggest problem though is the way the flags are rendered on the slopes. They're literally impossible to see until you get up on them, then it's usually too late to cut across to make it through. See the two below screenshots (arrows and text obviously added later).

What would you say about it compared to Crazy Snowboard?

It's a toss up, at least your snowboarder in Crazy Snowboard is also rendered in 3D. The music in that game drives me nuts though as it's an extremely over-used Garage Band loop that doesn't even loop properly.

Is it just me, or does this game seem to run in low fps? Even the player models feature staggeringly low animation frames. Really unappealing.
