Sweet, thanks for the report! We'll be pushing at least one more build, which will address some of the issues with controllers. All Game Center stuff (leaderboards and achievements) will be available at release only. And I can confirm that the game will launch at 1.99$. We'd have go for 2.99$ or 3.99$ but since the game will include IAP (although the game is geared for a premium experience), this could have been wrongly perceived by some players. The goal is to have a progression where the player can always buy some of the new boats he just unlocked, but not all of them. A bit like in a RPG where you choose how to evolve your character, you can chose to go for sturdy boats, fast boats, high-damage boats, or a mixture of them. In consequence, IAP won't be meant to provide players with the best boats, but rather to accommodate players who would like to backtrack and try more boats, without having to grind. That's the reason why IAP will be implemented at the last moment. There's no point testing them as they are not meant to be part of the normal progression. We don't even expect IAP to have an impact on revenues since it will probably increase the revenues by around 10%, minus 10% from players who don't buy games which include IAP.
The new build is now available. It mostly address MFI and iCade controllers issues. I thought that this would be the last beta build, but with today announcement from Apple, we'll try to build a iOS 8-based build, to make sure it does break anything.
The final beta build is now available!! If it goes well, we should submit the game to Apple in a couple of days. We're aiming for a release on October 2. Thanks a lot to everyone who helped out on this long, difficult but amazing journey! What's new in 0.9.4 - Made the game ready for iOS 8 - New splash screen - Doubled resolution on waves and tweaked colours patterns - Fixed controllers issues - Fixed crash issues - Balancing tweaks and other minor fix - Game Center lead/ach and IAP (de-activated till release)
That splash screen is epic And the waves look a good bit nicer now, thanks Any reason the Saves button is in such an awkward position over the extras button? Or is this a bug? http://i.imgur.com/Ph7wuAp.png
ah, forgot to test that on a 4 inches screen, thanks! What's that black stripe on the side? Not something we see in-game I hope?
