This is indeed a fine start to a FPS. The menus are nice and detailed with some good game options. Graphics are good and sounds are decent too. The gameplay is promising, the foundation is there and its solid, just needs a little tweaking, just a bit more polish. Now that I look what's coming up in the next update...
1) Added ability to run 2) Added New Fire Button Feature: You can now Move, Aim, and Shoot all at the same time. Simply touch the fire button and you will continue to shoot while you move your thumb around to aim. 3) Added a low power, low range gun that has infinite amount of ammo (If you find yourself in a tight spot). 4) Increased the amount of ammo you start with for all weapons. 5) Increased the amount of ammo you pick up on easy difficulty. 6) Moved the default Fire Button from the left to the right (Still changeable under the options Menu). Its easy to see that this game is going to get better and most of the issues are being addressed quickly. I would like to see a melee feature added and maybe a slight auto-targeting feature. Great work so far, I'll be looking out for the update. |

Wow, thank you Crazy Robot Games! I accidentally hit 3 stars instead of 4...
But I'll update my review once the update comes out! This is a very promising game, and i'm impressed with what's there already.

I've been keeping my eye on the app store (and TA, of course!) reviews for this game, since it looks pretty good. I have noticed that there really aren't many reviews in the app store.
I really hope this game does well--gotta admire the 2 married-couple devs who have submitted their first game to the app store. ![]() From reading this thread, it seems like there a bunch of Touch Arcadians who have already bought it. I hope those who have will submit reviews to the app store. Last edited by gekkota; 12-19-2009 at 12:26 AM.. Reason: deleted cynical comment... |

Hello all,
The wife and I just wanted to give you an update: The Infinity Project v1.1 is at apple and it's in review with the above mentioned updates. Now for a little on v1.2 We have decided the UI needed an overhaul (it looked so 90s). So when I got home from my day job, the wife surprised me with a great new design. I have started to incorporate the new UI into the game and it looks great. Here is a screenshot. Let me know what you guys think. I will try to get v1.2 done and out ASAP. We plan to work over the holidays to get it done. The control stick on the left now moves. The player's speed is determined by the amount you move the stick, so you can sneak very slowly, run at full speed, or any thing in between. Also, I moved the grenades out of the weapons cycle and placed a button above the fire button, so you will have access to your guns and grenades simultaneously. You don't have to switch to the grenades to throw one, they are always available. After the UI is done, I will start work on enemy AI and gun animation. Well, off to bed. JL |

Hello all,
We have made such great progress on v1.2 with the new completely revamped controls, gun animation and User Interface that we have decided to scrap the current v1.1 that is at Apple and incorporate all of the v1.1 and v1.2 changes into v1.1. So we should have a new build to apple for v1.1 within a week (We plan to work over the holidays to get it done). Here is a v1.1 Update: We have finished the following: 1) Revamped the UI interface. 2) Animated all weapons when firing (no reloading animation yet) 3) Upgraded laser graphics and made both lasers more accurate at long distances. 4) Revamped the controls (total overhaul) now you have more of an analog feel to the movement, you can move very slowly, at a full run, or anything in between. 5) Added New Fire Button Feature: You can now Move, Aim, and Shoot all at the same time. Simply touch the fire button and you will continue to shoot while you move your thumb around to aim. 6) Added a low power, short range gun that has infinite amount of ammo (If you find yourself in a tight spot). 7) Increased the amount of ammo you start with for all weapons. 8) Increased the amount of ammo you pick up on easy difficulty. 9) Moved the Fire Button from the left to the right. What's left to do: 1) update a few menu items. 2) get the build to the beta testers for a few days of testing (I'll unlock all levels to speed the process up). 3) Submit to Apple. JL |
