This was an unfortunate oversight on our part as we rushed to bundle the game up for submission. This will be remedied as soon as our update goes through. Most likely the middle of next week. If you bought it and couldn't play it, I apologize. It will be fixed ASAP.

This is a fun game but very challenging, maybe more challenging than it should be. In the game you play as a monkey and the object of the game is to shoot and hook your vine onto the tree tops and keep swinging as long as you can without falling. As you're swinging you also gain fuel for your jetpack which can also be used to aid you in reaching a further distance. As far as scoring goes the game will record your current game distance and store your best game distance. Jungle Swing uses OpenFeint for leaderboards.

Overall its a very shallow pickup and play game, but is still kind of fun to mess around with. The monkey seems to glide a little too much after releasing from a swing, a little too much momentum feels kind of unrealistic. The swinging takes some getting used to. You will have to time your swings perfectly, and most of the time unless you're near the top of the screen when you launch your vine you will end up falling because the monkey will touch the bottom when swinging. IMO the only real major flaw about the game has to do with the bottom of the screen. The concept of Jungle Swing's gameplay has been done before, such as in Rope n Fly, but in that game you are swinging from tall buildings and dont have to worry so much about swinging into the ground or water and dying from whatever is below on the ground when making contact, allowing you to use a longer rope to swing. In Jungle Swing (because of the danger of hitting the bottom) there is just not enough room between the top of the screen and the bottom of the screen to swing freely.

Its an interesting game, but one thing I think would make it a lot better (for me and those of my ilk) would be a lefty mode. Just flip the screen and have the monkey swing to the left instead of the right. As it stand now, my hand is always covering the display.

It would also be nice if it remembered your music preferences from game to game. And perhaps let you listen to your own music.

Default Game Impressions

This game didn't grab me at first, but after playing it a few times over a few days it completely hooked me in. The OF achievements are nicely done and added goals to shoot for. Unlocked all of them except for the highest coin one (2 or 3 more plays and I'll have that) and two of the secret achievements. Wish I knew what to try. My hunch was they would unlock by upgrading red and blue leaves to the max, but nope.

At first I didn't use the rocket at all and thought it was too cumbersome, but after a bit of playing (and upgrading) I realized it's a great way to coast along a bit or hold an elevation to collect a money bag/gas tank. Adds a new dimension to the game.

I love a game that surprises me, and this game certainly did. It is simple and now that I've unlocked nearly all the OF achievements I'm probably mostly done. But I got more play out of it than most of the games I blindly try out.
