Wow I just got 1 hit by a hellfire even though my infiltrator's shielding is the maximum for my rank. It has to be a direct hit though. I was fighting some people with hellfires and I could easily dodge the grenades with my infiltrator and kill em with my mag. Hellfire is pretty good if you can predict where your enemy is going to go. But my mag can pretty much own hellfire users.

Not sure how it would affect Eliminate specifically but I sacked Winterboard a long time back. Makes everything run slower, especially coming out off apps, drains battery faster too. noticed lag on some stuff but hadnt played Eliminate with it installed.

Could just be my phones a bit fried (might run a lot better on 3gs for example)but i personally wouldnt recommend using it to anyone, although im only interested in saving cash on apps, couldnt care less about custom homescreen etc.

I finally jailbroke my phone a few weeks ago after a year and a half of vanilla usage, and I have to say... I've definitely noticed an increase in lag while playing Eliminate. The game just runs... choppy.

I was up over 7000 skill (and increasing steadily) at level 45 a few weeks back before I jailbroke my phone, and I'm 55 now (huge grind last week from 49 to 55 to pick up a Mag Rail Pro before they disappeared!). I'm having a really tough time just keeping 7000, let alone increasing - there is a noticeably longer load time into matches, whenever a new player joins the game my iPhone freezes up for about 5 seconds, and I notice fairly regular dips in my framerate, during which time it becomes impossibly difficult to aim.

So in short - yeah, Winterboard (or maybe Cydia in general) really do seem to affect idevice performance. If I can figure out how, I think I might switch back to the vanilla OS.

Edit: Holy crap, I just removed Winterboard and Eliminate is like a whole new game. I'd forgotten how much better it was with no choppiness!

Oh, on a lighter note, I've really been enjoying my Hellfire Pro. Having to worry about your trajectory takes a bit of getting used to, but the weapon is just plain devastating in close quarters maps where people tend to crowd (Works incredibly well on Tank). It seems to be a great denial weapon - if you're being chased, turn a corner, switch to your Hellfire, turn around, and unload right at the corner. I've been having a lot of success with that so far.

Another thing I like about it is that since it's splash damage and knockback radius is so large, Infiltrator + Sprinter doesn't seem to be quite as difficult to counter anymore. You have to lead your shots by a wide margin, but if your grenade lands within about 10 feet of someone, it'll do some damage (and knockback!). Definitely easier than trying to aim at someone with your Mag Rail while they run laps around you with Infil + Sprinter + Acceleration.

Edit: Oh, and amp + Hellfire is amazing. I got 3 kills with 1 shot earlier this morning

I just lost about 150 skill do to a conection loss do to THIER SERVERS, I was in the lead, my wifi is strong, & the game craps out I come in third and lose skill.

I feel like the hellfire is a really good idea for eliminate pro. It really evens out the mag rails dominance. But at the same time the hellfire really sucks at long range. Also sometimes I just run straight at the hellfire with my mag and they have fatal accidents.

Lol, the Hellfire sucks. It seems to be OKAY in FFA, but it sucks in 1v1. I won't buy the Hellfire. It would be another waste of credits.
