I have trouble to play with Drogbathelegend, he send me a inv to do games while I was play in rank, I rage quit the rank game to accept his inv, and then he canceled, I send him afew more inv right after, wait and wait still no one show up.sigh....
Wtf is wrong with people on friendly today? 10 fights 10 wins 10 RQs Some guys name was "you have been disconnected" so I wasn't really surprised what happened after I perfected him...
So I finally decided to buy this and played a few friendly matches. I'm a bit discouraged because of how much cheese there was. My matches all went the same. C. Viper - Thunder Knuckle. Over and over and over and over. Ryu/Ken/Sagat - Fireballs. Flawless stream of fireballs. The occasional Uppercut when I managed to jump over a few, but this was followed by many more fireballs. Blanka - Horizontal ball. No charge time, just flying back and forth and back and forth. M. Bison - Like Blanka, only this time, it was Psycho Crusher time. Hopefully they're not all like this? I got bored after a bit...The matches weren't even fun. It was just me blocking projectile/move spam the entire match. Is this how all friendly matches are?
Nope. There are many lame players, that's the truth, but not everybody plays that way. Try playing with some of the players who post in this thread, you will notice a huge difference.
I'll have to start adding players/getting on teams/whatever. I feel like it'd be a lot more fun to have real matches. Also, I probably should learn to deal with spammers, but it's tough enough with controller/stick, and adding touch screen into that mix makes it even harder. :|
Dont despair! There is a steep learning curve if you want to immerse yourself in this, but the TA community is very supportive and good for practice!
I'll push through, haha. I'm looking for a fun online game, so this may be it! Also, what's up with teams and such? Is that how you can organize groups and lobbies of players you play with regularly?
Do you guys know a player called godous? I just met him in friendlies and he has just 700BP but couldn't defeat his super defensive Akuma with my secondary characters....I won every time I picked Gief though
Cody stuff no one cares about - jaw crusher (ch), jaw crusher, cr mp works..... On guile and Honda, corner only. Guile also has a sweet spot where jaw crusher can connect and guile won't be grabbed. This means a new set of combos has been created. - ruffian (aa, corner), fadc, ex rocks connects for 2 hits. - ex zonk knuckle hits behind Cody's head too. This can give some wierd bounces. - despite one combo allowing crack kick, criminal upper, this cannot be done anywhere else (I think) the juggle animation increases hitbox size so this combo can occur - cr mp (ch), cr jab, cr mp likewise adds another set of combos - woooo. Bad stone meaty ch, ultra connects!
Due to the online play, the game is understandably competitive. The teams are purely for online play. We work together to earn points for tournaments and it's a banner we all fly under. It creates a team vs team aspect.
Once you learn how to deal with those things and punish your opponents not to do it, they will stop. But if they see that you have no idea how to get around it, they'll just keep doing whatever works. Learning how to deal with these things will come in time. I myself still have trouble with runaway/Spamming Akumas. Not all play like this though.
My iPod 4s battery went from 60%~ to 24% while testing new Cody stuff.... That's over an hour in the lab
