We got featured on NBC! http://www.nbcwashington.com/station/as-seen-on/D_C__Couple_Design_Apps_At_Home_Washington_DC.html Lots of goofy lines, such as Keith being a "retired government healthcare worker," and all the numbers are totally off, but still really cool to be on TV like that! We actually got recognized at a party we went to last night. Weird!
Can you somehow put the video on YouTube? I'd really like to watch it. Maybe you could screen record the video and then post it? Anyways, congratulations Max Adventure is now the most played game on my iPad
cool - I watched the clip - I'm a fan of most of your games already ! I bought and haven't tried max adventure yet (soon!). I can't wait for the next game !
Wow, congratulations! Did you do anything special to get this kind of news coverage or did it naturally follow from your overall marketing efforts and success as indie devs? I hope you get a nice little sales bump from this
yaaa!! Thats excellent Iam glad whenever one of us indies make it big. I hope you sales increased well after the promo spot.
Thanks for the nice words, everyone! And sorry for the people outside the US who can't view the video :/ Maybe we'll be able to get a copy of the video from someone at NBC, although I doubt it. Yay thanks We move around a lot, both within the apartment and travel from place to place and work wherever we go, so it's nice to have all our work on a laptop. We got written up by a local blog, ReadySetDC, here: http://readysetdc.com/2010/04/words-w-imangi-studios/ Someone at NBC saw it and contacted us to do the story. Thanks! No sales increase, but we didn't expect one. The audience is too general, not necessarily people who buy apps. Saleswise, an article on TA or TUAW is much more powerful.
Hey... I am a novice developer who lives in the DC area, I've came out with a few apps using the appmakr software... My name is Marc Jordan if you have a chance to look up some of my apps feel free. I had a question what software to you use to develop those amazing games, also what type of design software to you like? Thanks! I look forward to downloading your next great app!
