      So if I want to gift an game to a friend but I already own it, I have to buy it again to gift it to him correct? it will charge me again?

      And iTunes will charge your credit card for it - seems you can't spend money in your account on gifts. :(

      yea, this sucks if you already own the game, even though i know that if it was free of charge you'd gift it to everybody.

      Call it Apple's fail safe. I don't think you'd want Apple coming down on you like the record companies did with MP3s.

      i gifted an app before but the problem is you cant gift free games, especially apps that goes free for a day and my friend doesnt know about it. And it does suck you need a credit card to gift apps and cant use money from your account from itunes cards. =/
