Tesla's Electric Mist just went live on the AppStore. It's now available for purchase. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/teslas-electric-mist/id568809196?mt=8 We are proud to announce our soon to be released Point and Click Puzzle Adventure game, Tesla's Electric Mist (similar to the style of "Secret of Grisly Manor" or "Lost City"). Tesla's Electric Mist is a point and click adventure game revolving around the mysterious Nikola Tesla, a time traveling device he invented, and a big experiment gone wrong for the citizens of Colorado Springs in the late 1800's. Here's the new official trailer: In the game, you are the hero. Your family has a history with the great Nikola Tesla, inventor of the radio, alternating current, and patent holder of hundreds of electrical inventions. Your great-great-grandfather worked for Tesla in Colorado Springs around the turn of the century. A family secret has been passed down over the generations since then, that some day Tesla would need your family's help once more. What this means, no one in your family really knows. But the time has come, and you will be the one to answer the call. Using a time traveling device invented by Tesla, you will travel back in time to Colorado Springs. And only you will have it in your power to save the people of Colorado Springs, and in fact, Tesla himself, from an experiment gone terribly wrong. The game has been designed to be easy to pick up and understand instantly, but yet difficult enough to be challenging. The game is on track to be released at the end of October 2012, but we just launched the facebook fan page and twitter feeds for the game. http://www.facebook.com/TeslasElectricMist http://twitter.com/iCOOLgeeks So if you want to be notified of the game's release, like us on facebook or follow us on twitter. Well, there's some things that go into deciding on making a game full retina. First of all, let me assure you that the game will work fine and look fine on an iPad 3 full retina device. But the images in the game are not full retina. The game was in development a while before the larger resolution of the iPad 3 came out. When that came out, we looked at what it would take to make the game retina enabled, and it was a hefty cost on the size of the game as well as the added time to redo all our finished art. The game will ship under a 100mb size limit as is, but if we went full retina, it would push the size upwards of almost 500mb in size. And as we looked at the images for the game, they're nice, but making them larger just didn't add enough wow factor to make it worth the size difference in the download. Had we gone full retina, it would mean a larger download for everyone, all those devices that couldn't appreciate full retina would still have to download the 500mb file, so we chose not to go full retina just yet. We may on our future updates, if things change in such a way that the benefits out weigh the costs. Sorry for the long winded response. But to wrap up, the game will not be full retina, but will look just fine on any retina device. Thanks, Tyler
New teaser images of some of the ghosts In the game, Tesla (in the late 1800's) conducted an experiment that went terribly wrong. The outcome was very bad for the townsfolk in Colorado Springs. In the 3rd chapter of the game, as you wander around the town you'll see eerie electrically charged ghost-like images of the townsfolk. Here are a few teaser images of what they look like. Hope you enjoy.
beta test Just wanted to post an update on Tesla's Electric Mist. We went into beta test a few days ago and have already found and fixed a few major bugs. Hopefully the rest of the beta will go smoothly. If so, we should be ready to release soon enough.
