I can't sync my device to my PC because it just wants to screw everything up and leave me with 1/10 of the games I've got on there... So I've gotta download it from my device... but yeah... The expanded file is barely smaller than a game like Dead Space. If you're not a huge fan of Galcon, you're probably not going to have fun with it. Actually, I liked Galcon because it had multiplayer..this wasnt any fun though. Another 'rarely true strategy' game that sells itself off as a RTS. If you have fast internet and tons of memory though, I guess you might as well check it out for free. syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #6 syntheticvoid, May 25, 2011 Yeah, I ended up checking out the lite version before spending the time downloading the full version... and I have to agree. Especially with the size of it... I really think they could have pulled it off with around 40-60MB... I did kind of enjoy the intro vid though... =oP Still, gonna keep it around, maybe some day I'll get bored with all my other games, and end up actually getting into this one... But first impressions are.... nah... DelBoy2181 Well-Known Member Mar 14, 2011 857 0 0 London, England #7 DelBoy2181, May 25, 2011 Over 300MB is a lot to ask these days. I'm a shortsighted guy so I had to delete it immediatly. Consider this if u are myopes! I understand the concerns with file size. At least get this onto your computer while it's free and you can rotate it on later. triggywiggy Well-Known Member Jan 24, 2010 4,353 2 0 Freelance writer, Student, Casually employed in re Perth, Western Australia #14 triggywiggy, May 26, 2011 I had this game since it was released and it was awesome! crex Doctor of Game of the Week-ology Oct 18, 2010 7,679 10 0 Everywhere and Nowhere #15 crex, May 26, 2011 ooh. A freebie from Chillingo? AWESOME! Herosoft Ltd Well-Known Member Nov 23, 2010 155 0 0 #16 Herosoft Ltd, May 26, 2011 Yeah, it's a brilliant game with vast amounts of content, but it's a shame they couldn't have cut out some of the videos and suchlike to save space - 300+ MB is asking an awful lot of an iThing. And the iPad version, which was free a little while ago, is definitely more playable due to the bigger screen. But the iPhone version works fine and you should absolutely download it while it's free, even if you don't play it until the next time you're having a clearout of memory space. Marcus70 Well-Known Member Dec 7, 2010 950 0 0 #17 Marcus70, May 26, 2011 I agree, I like both, but prefer the ipad version more, due to the fonts they use. tops2 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2011 2,067 44 48 #18 tops2, May 26, 2011 Tiny font kinda sucks, but I'll reserve judgement until longer play sessions. I only played one round and its like Galcon...fun. The number of skills to level up is a bit daunting, but I'll get around learning it. There's multiple civilizations, but I don't know if it makes a difference or not... Overall, I'll look forward to trying more levels to see.. Galcon is definetly fun and intense, and I love how short each game will be. cherdman Well-Known Member Sep 11, 2010 459 0 0 #19 cherdman, May 27, 2011 No, it's really not.
