Our iTunes link stopped working. Is this common?

Hey all, my name is Doc and I worked with Tribal Games on a new game with The Mighty Boosh called The Mighty Decider. Our app has been live for almost a week, but the iTunes link stopped working (for us at least) this morning. The link that iTunes gives us is http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-mighty-decider/id352459975?mt=8 but when I click on it I get an error message that says "Your Request Could Not Be Completed.
The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store."

We have not made any changes since our app went live and our game should be available worldwide. The game still appears when searching iTunes, and our short url seems to work http://itunes.com/app/themightydecider but that's not the link that iTunes wants to give people when they try to share the app.

Has anyone had any similar experiences? Any suggestions? We had scheduled an opening weekend sale, so I feeling a little stressed we can't get the official link to work.

I tried a few of our apps and things seem to be working with the official URL. I would use the short URL until the official one starts working again.

I've been clicking the problematic link throughout the day and was happy to find that it's finally working again, but that's not all I notieced...

It appears that Apple is rolling out a new web preview feature (seen above) that gives you a nice preview of the app before taking you to iTunes. I don't know if this is old news, but I had never noticed it before. Previously, our apps link just opened a new tab in the browser that was mostly blank, now it opens this new page with an option to continue to iTunes to make your purchase. I bet the ultimate goal for Apple would be to eliminate the need for iTunes at all, and enable the consumer to make the purchase straight from the browser. This gives us the option of sending Apple's web preview link http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-mighty-decider/id352459975?mt=8 or a direct link that opens the app in the store http://itunes.com/app/themightydecider

How do you guys feel about this change?
