With aralon and the bard's tale going free for a short time, I am wondering what the biggest name game to go free was.

The Bard's Tale probably. Asphalt 7 as well.

As far as I know... But I've only been an ios gamer as of this year.

    Infinity blade never went free.

I think the biggest name was Angry Birds Seasons that went free as Apple's app of the week earlier this year.

In terms of popularity, I'd have to say AB Seasons as well as Tilt to Live, but in terms of gameplay it'd come down to Aralon, Galaxy on Fire 2, and The Bard's Tale. Some notable freebies go to Asphalt 7 and Space Miner.

Another big title was Civilization Revolution, which went free for the first day of one of the FAAD promotions.

Really? I hate that I miss those freebies.
Are you joking when you ask if Touch Arcade's pick for Game of the Year in 2010 (?) is good?

This pretty much summed it up. Oh and MAMC went free a while back too.
