I've been trying remote play today and it's borderline unusable. Not sure exactly why but the graphics are really blockey and low res (unless you stand still for 3-4 secs) and there's quite bad lag. I'm only sat 3 foot away from my PS4, not sure what the issue is.
I've given up on remote play for now. It's no biggy as that wasn't a main reason I wanted the vita, it would be nice though so I may try another time. I'm hunting for a fun and long rpg to buy right now. I really think the PS store prices are a little steep. Ys looked like a great game but I refuse to pay £32 for a digital copy when I can buy it off amazon for £24 and have a lovely box.. I don't mind buying digital if it's cheaper but I won't pay more. So I'm looking at other games, P4G is a maybe, Atelier is a maybe. I'll keep looking.
P4G should be a definite buy, Ys also. There's also some good PSP RPG's in the PS store that might interest you.
Yeah I definitely pick and choose carefully - usually wait for price drops. I've enjoyed Crimson Gem Saga for $5 and Breath of Fire. Borderlands 2 is ok, but Killzone Mercenary is excellent for a FPS.
@Mene also Ys: Memories is awesome as is P4G. I recently started playing P4G and tho I was a little hesitant at first, I'm now quite amazed at the quality...so P4G should be a definite for you. Fantastic story and gameplay. I also picked up that Monson Monster card game (not sure the name) and it's quite fun. Not sure how I feel about the "powering up" part but the gameplay is fun and unique.
Mhmmm. You definitely picked it up because it was "fun", Not because you wanted to stroke your vita... I never realized my servant was dirty.
Mine was doing a lot of that last time I tried it after they changed pairing, weirdly enough I tried it last night with Diablo III for about an hour and a half and only got one rough 10 second patch. No idea what's up with consistency, goes from one extreme to the other.
Playstation Vita Discussion Thread New trailer at PAX 2014 for one of the possible Goty 2015 : http://youtu.be/f1nBRyLVeXI (i'll personnaly take it on my PC)
I've been looking at that, I like the art style but it looks a bit too action based and button mashy for me. Not knocking it but I can't handle fast action games. I've spent a while watching YouTube videos of RPGs, I think there are three I've found that might be a good first buy.
Nah. You need to realize you aren't a good enough Master for him if he has to rely on Vita stroking. Wake up call!
I've been looking for a fun rpg with plenty of longevity, I had several options but after looking at them it seems they aren't for me as they have Japanese voice acting only. Are there any 80+ hr rpgs with English voice acting?
It works fine for me except for fast / pinpoint precision games such as Zen Pinball 2. Graphics are usually excellent and lag not that bad. Rarely use it, though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. SS Delta and Y's are two of my favorite Vita games but completely action based, definitely not your cup of tea. My recommendations (non-action RPGs): -Child of Light -Rainbow Moon (uber addictive) -Dragon Fantasy I & II -Final Fantasy Tactics / Tactics Ogre (PSP games but oh so f***ing good) -Disgaea 3/4 (warning: too hardcore for many, me included)
Rainbow Moon. Took me 100 hours to Platinum on PS3 (Vita version is same game) and there were still dungeons and other things to do.
